Gil is dreaming that he is back in Nabuk Street Temple. He is chasing Kiddu up the stairs.
With dream-logic, he realizes the stairs aren’t quite right. They’re curved around, but the actual Temple’s stairs are straight.
No matter. He follows her up and up, looking at her thick, smooth legs from below, not entirely sure why he’s following, but quite happy for the view. She’s wearing one of her shorter dresses, and he can see almost all of her thighs…
He wakes up. The vagueness of the dream-setting and dream-experience slough away, and the world becomes real and solid.
